Updates

June 21, 2002 - Added support for periods in a WikiName. This means you can now use grouping! Yay!
Not exactly what I had in mind when I said grouping, but it's definitively a step in the right direction - keep up the good work! -F|B

June 9, 2002 - Added underline as a valid WikiFormatting tag.

Discussion

Want some feature? Post it here. Keep in mind that this is not a Wiki package and was written because it seemed like a fun thing to do. :-)

heya, I figured out this cool thing I could do :
shatty!

I was hoping that when I got to that page I could see where all the icons are in the "references to this page" part, but unfortunately it doesn't work, since it isn't a straight:
     [[AndrewBachmann]]
Any ideas? I would suppose that:
     [[AndrewBachmann [[image:http://my.image/here.png]]]]
might work, but it doesn't.

Btw, I didn't want to put AndrewBachmann on all those pages.. I was looking for something less obtrusive, hence the (pretty darn) tiny icon.

Wow.. That's cool. Never occured to me you could do something like that. :-) I'll look into seeing if I can't make it work a bit more like what you are suggesting, but it could be a few days before I remember to get to it.

I would love to see a feature on the recent changes tab that would allow me to see exactly what was changed. Kinda like the one featured in this wiki (when you hit the Page Revisions link at the bottom of the page) -F|B

How about if when you are logged in it tracks when you last saw a page, and can give you a personal "what you haven't seen yet" listing. Of course you have to keep a last seen date for every file (ever visited)... sounds like a lot. And people would probably want a way to mark pages that they don't care about so that even if they get updated, it wouldn't go into the "what you haven't seen yet" listing. shatty!
THat's an interesting idea. All you would need to do is compare the last login time to the modification date. I don't think keeping the last seen date for each person is a lot of work, I assume that the system at bebits keeps track of it anyway so it can clear zombies (people that haven't logged in for, say, a year). But it WOULD bring a bit more overhead to the system by needing to dynamically format a page for each individual - I don't know how this wiki is set up, but I figure that it will create a web page once a person hits the [Submit] button, and keep it until it is hit again (hitting in the figurative sense of the word, of course). OTOH, that doesn't help if the user hasn't logged in yet. A universal [page revisions] link might be less work. -F|B
