The current BeOS UI has a lot of benefits, especially to a fan of minimalist interfaces. However there are also several warts. Raise issues here and propose solutions.
There are several general UI issues that we need to address. Among these are:
- AccessibilityIssues - making the UI more friendly towards people with disabilities or impairments.
- WidgetFontSensitivity - people like and need their fonts to be different sizes, and even go in different directions.
- InterfaceConsistency - making sure that the user experience is consistent between bundled apps, and hopefully 3rd party apps as well.
- UiKitWidgetLibrary - what widgets should be provided by the system to make life easier for developers and more consistent between applications?
Some specific application areas also have a large number of issues related to them. These include:
- OpenTrackerIssues - how to improve the tracker interface, or propose alternatives
- OpenDeskbarIssues - how to improve the deskbar interface, or propose alternatives
- DecorIssues - what could/should/would be possible for the various decors.
