The Glass Elevator project is generally about future versions of OpenBeOS. You can find out more about the Glass Elevator project at http://glasselevator.sourceforge.net/. Most of the activity on the Glass Elevator project exists on the mailing list at the moment. Recently the project has adopted the BeBits wiki as a place to post suggestions and generally maintain ideas that have already been tossed around and could possibly considered more stable than those on the mailing list.
Here are some areas the Glass Elevator project is working on.
1) UiDiscussion
Go here to post your ideas for a next generation GUI. The idea is that this will be a kind of picture gallery for people to look at and add comments.
2) API Design
Things that you think are needed or would like to change in the API.
3) GeneralArchitecture
Ideas for changes to the general architecture to BeOS, including discussion of issues where specific APIs are not ready for suggestion or discussion.
4) HardwareSupport
Hardware for running GE or hardware that GE could/should access.
