There are many issues that are going to push changes in the general architecture for GlassElevator:
- LocalizationIssues - using GE in other countries or with data from other countries.
- UniversalDatabaseFiles - increasing the ability for GE programs to communicate with one another by using standardized database files, like PeopleFiles.
- ImprovedDocumentation - to make it easier for new developers to understand the APIs and use them properly.
- MarkupParsing - handling XML, HTML, and friends.
- PrivacyManagement - controlling the disclosure of your person information.
- MultiUser - allowing different users with different rights, etc.
- ToolChain - integrating tools into the applications, such as spell checkers and image filters.
- FilDirUte - integrating data files and directories.
- SimpleNetworkSetup - using USB and Firewire connections for local networks/direct cable connections (in-between at least 2 OpenBeOS computers).
