Obligatory How-I-Found-BeOS Statement
I stumbled upon BeOS when I was looking for a solution to a problem on this compaq dual ppro box I had. The problem was that the sound would be horribly distorted when I would play an mp3 while moving any gui elements(windows etc) on the screen. So I searched the net for some other operating systems that might allieve this problem which I thought at the time was accredited to windows. I tried linux, got some experience, then, by magic, I found the OS we all love. I started with R4.5 and have been using it since. The first time using BeOS was amazing, it was very surreal and don't remember much of the experience, it was that "crack cocaine" effect JLG described with the release of BeOS 5 PE.
